SIRD has a sprawling campus of 23 Acers and is situated in a picturesque surrounding 2kms away from Jorethang, the main township of South Sikkim. It has well equipped Administrative and Academic Block, Hostel, Guest House and Residential Quarters. It also boasts of one of the well stocked libraries and latest Audio-Visual facilities.

Administrative cum Academic Building 

Director's Office & Accounts Section, and b) General Office Building with; 

i) A Reception Hall 

ii) Offices of the Joint Director, Deputy Director, Lecturers and Administrative Staff.

iii) A Conference Hall for Workshop, Seminar, Training etc. accommodating 50 person. The Conference Hall is equipped with modern audio-visual system for presentation and for recording

iv) A Lecturer Theatre v) Computer Lab for 20 trainees and Library with collection of books on diverse subjects such as Integrated Rural Development, Decentralized Planning, Wasteland Development, Medicinal Plants, Management, Agriculture, Horticulture, Animal Husbandry etc

Hostel A well maintained hostel comprising of six Double Bedded Rooms, a Dormitory with capacity of accommodating 50 trainees and a very spacious Kitchen and Dining Hall with a Garden and Lawn for relaxation.

Guest House A Guest House with four rooms, two fitted with AC, a kitchen and Dining Hall for Visiting Faculty and Guests from other States .

Residential Quarters i. Director's Quarter ii. Four Grade B Quarters iii. Four Group C Quarters each having two units comprising of three rooms and a chowkidar's quarter. iv. Four Group D Quarters.

V.L.W Hostel Two V.L.W Hostel each with the capacity of accommodating 20 participants with a separate kitchen and bathroom facility.
